Edutizer requires two user accounts – one SQL Server user account and one local computer user account to run scheduled tasks.

 

NB! Edutizer can not connect to the database in trusted mode; dual authentication – Windows and SQL has to be allowed on the SQL server.

 

 

1. Create SQL user account named edu_user using SQL Enterprise Manager. This SQL identity will be used be the COM+ component to connect to the database. This account must be named edu_user.

 

NB! Edutizer stores the password of SQL user in clear text.

 

2. You may want to create local computer account for running scheduled tasks named Edutizer. This user has to be member of the Users group.

 

 

In this manual we will assume that all Edutizer related files will be stored in subfolders of C:\Edutizer folder.

 

Create following subfolders:

 Bin – to store binary files

 Site – to store website files

 Jobs – to store scheduled task scripts
