Installing COM+ component

Installation of the COM+ component requires some experience with the COM+ Services Manager, and because this not your everyday tool, we have included some key screenshots to make this part easier.
 
1. Copy the file /bin/EduDal.dll from the installation media C:\Edutizer\bin folder
 
3. Open COM+ Component Services Manager (Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Component Services) and create new application Edutizer.
 
4. Using the new application wizard, choose these options
  • on the first screen, click Next
  • on the next screen – Install or Create New appliction, choose Create new empty application
  • on the next screen – Create Empty Application, enter Edutizer as the Application title, choose Server application, click Next
  • on the next screen – Set Application Identity, choose Network Service
  • on the next screen – Add Application Roles, simply click Next
  • on the next screen – Add Users to Roles, click open the CreateOwner/Users and click Add. Add IUSR_MACHINE and click Next
  • on the last screen click Finish
5. Add the components to the application.
 
Right-click on the Edutizer application title and choose New -> Component
 
Using the wizard:
  • on the first screen, click Next
  • on second screen – Import or install a component, click Install new components(s)
  • on the next screen – Install new components, click Add,  choose file C:\Edutizer\Bin\edudal.dll, and Next
  • on the last screen, click Finish.
                                              
 
COM+ component is configured.
