XML training import

Edutizer supports importing trainings and training registrations from an XML source that uses Edutizer import/export XML schema. You can also look at the sample training import XML data file.

There are two modes for importing training data: strict and loose.

In the strict import mode (default) Edutizer assumes that following conditions are met:
  • every training in the XML file has a unique_id property set
  • all registrations are passed every time, students not listed in the XML source will be removed from training
In the loose import mode Edutizer will
  • handle empty unique_id property values
  • only add new student registrations, existing ones will not be removed.
  • assume that there is no more that one training with the same training code active at the same time.
To configure:

Open Training import tab under server settings.
Choose XML as training import schema.
Enter XML import URL.
Note for OTA users: enter servlet URL with the ?export=2 (2- for user export).Business Unit Id (Country) will be added automatically.

You have two configuration options:
  • Delete unlisted trainings - trainings not listed in the XML source will be deleted.
  • Input data is partial data only - checking this setting will switch edutizer into loose import mode.
