Linking files from WebDAV document store to coursebooks
What is WebDAV document store? Your organization may be using a document repositry that supports WebDAV protocol. WebDAV stands for Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning is standart internet protocol for accessing document repositories. Most known WebDAV-enabled document repositories are LiveLink and SharePoint. Ask your server administrator to configure access to WebDAV server. Note: WebDAV is an additional Edutizer module and may require purchase of license key to activate it. Linking files from WeBDAV server To link a document from WebDAV server, click the Browse button next to the Document URL field on the lesson or unit properties page. This will open fie browser and by default it will open documents and folders on the Edutizer server. If your server adminitrator has configured WebDAV integration, you will see tab with your WebDAV server name. Click on that tab. This will dorect document browser to the WebDAV server. Note: Edutizer will not update the links if you rename or delete the file in the document repository. Note: Edutizer will remember last which tab and which folder you viewed last and next time you click the Browse button, it will open last viewed folder on either Edutizer or WebDAV server. Student access to the documents from WebDAV server Students do not have to have rights to access documents from the WebDAV server, Edutizer will retrieve the contents of the document and forward it to the student.
