Dynamic test

Dynamic tests contain pools of questions that are used to select a predefined number of questions for each student. Question selection is a random process which is driven by student's previous activity.

Put simply, a dynamic test is just ordinary test in which each testpart contains a large that usual number of questions and where for each testpart a number of question that will be shown to the each student is defined.

Dynamic tests allow you to solve two problems:

  • add more variation to the exam tests - now not only the questions are in random order (as are the answer choices), but the student have different sets of questions, that possible overlap
  • simplify creation of exerses -instead of many exersice test you need to create only one and include all the needed questions in it.

Note: from student's point of view there is no difference between ordinary and dynamic test. Student is never notified that the test may contain more questions than shown. Therefore if using dynamic tests as exercies do not forget to outline this in the test's directions.
